About the event

Step inside one of Salt Lake City's most remarkable and least-seen historic landmarks: the Salt Lake Masonic Temple. Built in 1927, this guided walking tour takes guests through the Temple's extraordinary ceremonial rooms, grand halls, banquet spaces, and architectural masterpieces while exploring the history, symbolism, and traditions of Freemasonry in Utah.
Along the way, participants will learn why the Temple was built, how Freemasonry developed in Utah, and how the building continues to serve Masonic organizations today. The tour highlights the Temple's unique blend of Egyptian, Colonial, Venetian, Gothic, Moorish, and Tudor architectural styles while explaining the symbolism and craftsmanship found throughout the building.
