About the event
Come gather together with your statewide preservation community at the Opening Reception the night before the 2026 Preservation Engaged Conference. Enjoy socializing, a buffet dinner and touring a gothic revival treasure.
This year we are fortunate to have the opportunity to highlight a 2025 Awardee of a $100,000 Sacred Places Grant.
The Episcopal Church of the Good Shepherd, built in 1875 from local sandstone, remains one of Utah’s earliest examples of Gothic Revival design. Its pointed arches, stained-glass windows, and bell tower have defined the skyline for generations. It also holds the unique distinction as the oldest church building in Ogden still in active, continuous use for its original purpose!
