Join us for a hands-on, three-day workshop where you’ll learn the art and craft of historic window restoration—while helping bring a Salt Lake City landmark back to life.

About the event

Led by experienced preservation professionals from Restoration West, this immersive workshop takes place on-site at the historic Fifth Ward Meetinghouse, a 1910 red-brick structure with deep roots in the community. As you work on real windows from this iconic building, you’ll gain skills that apply to any historic home, and contribute directly to the revival of a space with plans to serve the community once again.


The price includes all three workshop days (May 24, May 31 and June 7).


Bring Your Own PPE: To keep costs low, attendees are required to bring their own safety gear, including a P100 respirator, safety glasses, and work gloves.


🛠️ Workshop Schedule:


Day 1, May 24: Diagnosis & Repair Fundamentals

Learn how to assess the condition of wood sash and apply restoration techniques, including paint removal, wood repair, and epoxy use. We’ll also cover essential restoration terminology used throughout the course.
