About the event

Oral history is one of the most powerful tools for preserving the stories behind the places we fight to protect. This year, as Preservation Utah marks its 60th anniversary, we're investing in the people who will help tell those stories. Join the Utah Historical Society and us for a free online training that covers the essentials: how to prepare for an interview, how to ask questions that open doors rather than close them, and what to do with a recording once you have it.

Participants will be invited to put their new skills to work as part of our 60th anniversary oral history project. Preservation Utah's history lives in buildings, but it also lives in people. We're gathering the stories of longtime supporters, volunteers, board members, and partners whose voices deserve to be part of the record, and we need trained interviewers to help make that happen. Your work won't…
