About the event

Join us for an engaging and hands-on masonry 3-day workshop where you'll learn practical experience in the removal of deteriorated mortar and proper techniques for repointing historic masonry. Led by Bob Yapp, who has dedicated his entire career to historic preservation, this immersive workshop takes place on-site at the historic Roost, a two-story structure with rubble stone foundation and rustic log siding, oldest structure in Allen Park.


This workshop is sponsored by SLC Planning and Public Lands and supported by expert historic preservation guidance from the Utah State Historic Preservation Office.


3-Day Masonry Workshop:

$75 registration fee for city employees**

$150 registration fee for general public


Commitment to attend all three days is required upon registration.
