About the event

This tour explores sites of religious and economic development in the growth of Salt Lake City between 1870 and 1930. According to tour guide Kristine Haglund, during this period, Brigham Young’s Utopian vision of Zion gave way to religious differences, practical realities, and capitalism in Salt Lake City’s business district.

This is one of Preservation Utah's new themed tours that combines neighborhoods, architecture, and stories. We are delighted that historian and storyteller Kristine Haglund is coming to town to share more about the intersection between religion and business in Salt Lake City.
