This holiday season, you can make a lasting impact on Utah’s historic places by contributing to Preservation Utah’s Auction, running November 28 – December 14, 2025.

Preserve Utah’s Stories—Together

Hosted online through Givebutter (a free donation platform for nonprofits that keeps every dollar we raise in Utah), this festive fundraiser showcases the best of Utah — local businesses, artists, makers, and community members — all coming together to support our mission to protect, promote, and preserve Utah’s irreplaceable historic places and spaces.

Your donation helps fund statewide preservation programs that revitalize historic neighborhoods, protect landmarks, and connect Utahns to the stories that make our state unique.

When you donate to Preservation Utah’s auction, you’re doing more than supporting a fundraiser — you’re investing in the future of our communities. Your contribution helps us:

  • Support the revitalization of historic neighborhoods and downtowns,

  • Support property owners in restoring historic homes and buildings,

    • We’re inviting individuals, businesses, and organizations to donate items, gift certificates, or experiences that highlight Utah’s creativity, craftsmanship, and community spirit.

    • Every item or experience donated to the auction helps support Preservation Utah’s mission — and we love shining a light on the people and businesses who make it possible. When you or someone you know donates, we’ll feature:

      • Their name or business logo in our online auction,

      • A link to their website or social media, and

      • Recognition in Preservation Utah’s newsletters and social media, reaching thousands of Utahns who care about history, community, and local stories.
         

Donations are also tax-deductible*, and every contribution — big or small — helps protect the historic places that make Utah unique.

  • Downtown Architectural Walk — A guided exploration with a local historian.

  • Adaptive Reuse Tour — Breweries, restaurants, and studios in repurposed landmarks.

  • Gardens & Grounds Tour — Explore historic landscapes and cemeteries.

 

Hands-On & Educational Experiences

  • Photography in Historic Places — A photo walk through heritage sites.

  • Sketching Utah’s Landmarks — An art workshop at a historic site.

  • Cooking from the Past — A dinner or class inspired by Utah’s culinary heritage.
     

Community & Lifestyle Experiences

  • Dinner with a Historian — Conversation and stories over a small-group meal.

  • Neighborhood Progressive Dinner — Courses hosted in multiple historic homes.

  • Artisan Showcase — Handcrafted ornaments, prints, pottery, or textiles.
     

Local Business & Giftable Donations

  • Gift certificates to restaurants, museums, theaters, or shops.

  • Overnight stays at boutique inns or historic Airbnbs.

  • Utah-made goods — honey, jam, ceramics, or art prints.

  • November 21: Donation deadline (items and forms due)

  • November 28: Auction opens (7:00 AM)

  • December 14: Auction closes (8:00 PM)

  • December 15–19: Item pickup

To donate an item or experience:

  1. Complete the Auction Donation Form to share your item details.

  2. Submit your form and item by November 21 (email admin@preservationutah.org).

  3. We’ll follow up with confirmation and coordinate pickup or delivery.
